experiencing a beautiful moment in our ministry
here in Paraguay. Many of you know that I had an
experience at my first ILI (International
Leadership Institute) retreat five years ago. At that
retreat I felt God calling me very specifically to
“adopt men.” At the time I had no idea what that
could mean, but now I feel I am finally living out
that calling. As you know I have spent the past
four years working with inmates at Tacumbu
Prison. I have received training in prisoner
reentry and have a vision to start a program here
in Paraguay.
In February I completed writing a 12 week
course manual for Reentry Preparation that I have
been working on since we arrived back in
Paraguay in July of last year. Some great friends
have helped to edit the manual and this past
Friday I met with the first group of men who will
go through the program! This first group is limited
to just five men as I continue to seek out mentors
for the program and review results and issues.
